2026 Happy Blog Challenge

 July 12th Here are some happy things from this day: With the event gate closed and the event basically over, I was able to sleep in a little this morning.  The last few days have been a whirlwind.  Once I was up, things got packed up, food was eaten, and goodbye hugs were given.  We also helped others pack up and did some visiting.  That said, I was awake a little after 6 AM and we didn't leave the site until around 1:30 PM.   On the drive home we made some fun stops.  I now have two more ice cream stickers in my NH Ice Cream Trails Passport.  Finding these shops and traveling through parts of the state that I may not have been through before is fun.  So is eating ice cream!  We also stopped at REI and Stephanie got a new backpack.  The person working there was super helpful.  At home I was able to get my laundry washed.  On Thursday, a little after work, I leave for Texas to visit with TF for a few days before helpi...

May 24th  Somehow, Sunday came too fast. Here are some happy things from today: After some procrastinating, I went to the laundromat to take care of that recurring task. I was able to go longer between washing and had garb to wash from last weekend. It was probably three loads at home. I sorted it into two loads for the laundromat. Being able to do it all at the same time was worth the trip. I’m happy that it is done.  Some general kitchen cleaning took a lot of my time. After that, I made time to tackle one of the boxes in my room. There is still a very large amount of things that I need to go through, sort, find a place for, or get rid of. It needs to become a priority again. There was a shirt or two that were the beginnings of a new donation pile. I did find my marbles in today’s box, so that was good. 😅  It is important to have one's marbles.  May 11th Some happy Monday things: My day started by heading to the old house to do laundry.  The dryer isn't currently working at the new house.  Getting laundry done is good.  The happy part is the one lone tulip blooming in the triangle section of the driveway at the old house.   Keziah and I set off with tasks between checking on the laundry.  One of those tasks was to glaze some of the pottery she has been making.  She let me glaze one of the vases.  It was fun to sit and talk while painting on glaze.   I dripped on purpose. There are lilacs in bloom in the city! In the afternoon I was able to meet my friend, Amy, for a walk at Livingston Park.  We go there often.  Today is the first time I remember seeing mileage markers that mark tenths of a mile.  We saw .1 and .8.  I've seen the ¼ mile marker before.  The posts don't appear to be new.  I'm feeling rather oblivious though.  😂  It was...

 February 14th Here are some happy things from today: For whatever reason, I had some energy this morning.  I ended up using a bunch of that energy pacing.  Sometimes I listened to music too and pretended I could dance.  🤣🤪 It was time to take out the trash and recycling.  The barrels were still at the end of the driveway from pickup day.  I decided to use one of my tracking apps to see how big the driveway is.  The driveway goes around the house and is kind of shaped like a teardrop lollipop with the pointed part of the teardrop leading to the road.  After taking care of the trash I walked the entire thing.  From the road, around the house, and back to the road is approximately ¼ mile.  So I walked a mile or so on the driveway and got some fresh air.   The house.
