2026 Happy Blog Challenge

 Happy Mother's Day!  Here are some happy things from today: Bel and Four cleaned up the kitchen and made me waffles for breakfast.  They were delicious.   Around lunch time, Keziah, Bel, a friend, and I all went to hike Mount Kearsarge.  There are two ways up, one from the north side and one the south.  We ended up taking the shorter hike up from Rollins State Park which is the southern one.  We did a loop with some rocky scramble up, and less scramble down.  At the top we rested and went up the fire tower.  I think we all had a good time enjoying the company and the views.  This is my 11th out of the 15 NH Fire Towers.  Happy Monday! It seems like this is the first Monday in a while that I have been able to spend time with Keziah.   We spent most of the morning chatting while she worked on her pottery.  Eventually I went to our studio and worked on Exchequer things.  Keziah is making some truly lovely things with pottery and it was fun to watch and occasionally hand her a tool or something. The Exchequer things didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped.  I'm not used to the programs yet.  I'm not sure if the program has changed on the SCA side, or if it is what my laptop is choosing to open the programs with.  In the end, I was able to finish one of the things that were overdue.  Phew.  Many thanks go to my former protégé for double checking some things and letting me use her printer.  January 7th Intention for the day: Same as yesterday…As I go through my work day it is my intention to learn someone's name I don't already know.  I also intend to do my best to keep a happy attitude throughout. Here are my happy things from today: There is one weird thing that I have forgotten both mornings this week while getting ready for work.  That one thing is to put on a belt.  Other than that, day two of getting out of the house and to work on time was a success. There was snow again last night, just a little bit.  So far I am pleased with the road conditions from the new house to work as well. These two cats like my room too much!  I try to not let them in, but they get in when I go in or out.  Then I leave the door open so they can leave.  I'll have to put them out in a few minutes so I can sleep.  They look so comfy.  Since I was a little kid I have enjoyed looking at rocks.  I probably should have studied them.  I ...
