2026 Happy Blog Challenge

 January 21st Cloudy night sky and snowy trees. Intentions for the day:  Be joyful/happy and try to learn a coworker's name. Here are some happy things from today: It was a physically exhausting time at work.  I'm thankful that I slept better prior to working this time than I had the night before.  I have over 25,000 steps for the day. This is something that I find funny, my Alexa thinks I have a lot of food stored up because of my purchases last year to hike the AT.  That said, AI is kind of scary too.  And yes, I just had a weird, short conversation with Alexa that began as a simple weather request.  Please don't question my sanity.  😂 That round thing is my Echo Dot. It is where Alexa's voice comes from.  I think it needs hair.   In preparation for this weekend I have been trying to make two yellow belts.  So far I purchased the leather and now I have tried dying it.  Tomorrow they will hopefully get the buckles attach...

 January 19th Intention for the day: To try to get a handle on making intentions. Here are some happy things from today: For somewhere around a year or so I have had smart lightbulbs with different color combinations and themes to choose from.  They turn on and off using the Echo Dot I have and asking Alexa.  Alexa could turn them off and on and adjust the brightness but the special color combinations and themes I had to change using the app on my phone.  Recently Alexa automatically upgraded to Alexa Plus.  I did not want to upgrade it, but the company decided to make it free for Amazon Prime members.  So one day Alexa suddenly had a new voice.  With Alexa Plus I can now ask for my lights to be different themes, it doesn't seem to be exactly like the app, but better than before.  Purchasing the smart bulbs was a big decision for me, definitely a splurge.  They have made me very happy though.  So worth it for me!
