Sat-t-D
Here are some happy things from today:
- While waiting for the dog, Bjorn, to run around the back, I listened (with the help of the Merlin App) for birds. I definitely saw a bluejay and a cardinal. There were some I didn’t see close enough to be able to identify.
- A little later we went for a walk along the Windham Rail Trail. Again I pulled out the Merlin App. The birds were elusive and always a little too far away to identify visually.
- The room I am staying in while petsitting has a light with a pull chain. The string off the pull chain had seen better days. I spent some time and finger wove a new one. This one is long enough that I should be able to reach it without sitting up in bed. I’m used to either asking Alexa or using an app to turn off my lights at home. I put gaps in the cord to be able to hang things on. I put my charge cords through it and plan to hang my glasses off it when I sleep. I have knocked my glasses off the side table twice now, hopefully this will solve that problem.
- During this month of November I was planning to work on The Muffin Story that I wrote last year. I’ve been having a hard time sitting down and really looking at it. I finally finished reading through it all today. It is only twenty pages long. I should have carved out enough time sooner. One of the big things I noticed that needs to change is that I managed to use the wrong name for one of my characters! I called them one name and then started calling them a different name later on. 😅
