Outside

 May 8th

Here are some happy things from today:

  • Tulips are blooming in the container

  • This morning was the follow-up appointment with my endocrinologist concerning my thyroid and Hashimoto's disease.  There has been very little change and I am good for another 18 months unless I notice changes.  Yay!
  • After getting some groceries I was going to go to the studio to work on things.  Then I realized that I should probably get my steps in first or I would be up late on the treadmill.  With that train of thought I then procrastinated getting on the treadmill.  Suddenly I realized that it is springtime and I could go for a walk!!  I went to a different part of the local town forest and walked for a half hour, then turned around and went back to the car.  It was a lovely day for being outside.  There were partly cloudy skies and temperatures were in the upper 50's/low 60's.  Here are a few pictures from the walk:

Probably blueberries.

Trillium

Wintergreen

Hmm, a big rock head with a cigar?

  • Things were quiet at the studio and craft night.  There were six people, plus me, and everyone seemed to be so focused on their craft that communication was at a minimum.  Mostly I worked on Exchequer things, but after that, I pulled out some embroidery and worked on that.
The only things I added tonight are the little French knot dots in the 'A'.

Thank you for being here and being part of my daily happy things. Stay safe!
