Fickle Sky

 Tuesday's happy things:

  • The waning moon rose orange on the horizon as I drove to work.  Always peeking above the trees when I was not in a position to pull over and take a picture.  Had I not had to go to work, I might have chased the moon.  🌖  I did get some pictures of the stars before I left the house though.

  • Work was … different.  When I got there I hadn't been assigned a task yet.  That isn't unusual for people who are trained in most things because then they can put you wherever it ends up empty when someone doesn't show.  Then I was assigned to stow.  I got the equipment set up, went to the aisle and stowed for maybe five minutes before someone replaced me.  Then I went to induct.  I got the equipment, got it set up and didn't even have the chance to induct before I was pulled from there.  This time it was to do training for a first day person.  This person however is training to be a manager.  It has been over a year since I did first day kind of training, thankfully another manager has recently gone through it.  They showed me where to find the classes and which ones to give and then I got to sit while the new manager learned things and I waited to answer questions.  Before I write a book, I think it went okay.  When the ‘real’ Learning Ambassador came in, I got to help train a bunch of other people.  I like the part training when we are out on the floor teaching and learning more than the things learned on the computers.  It was a pretty good night.
  • And then there was snow today.  It was pretty.  That said, I'm very much done with snow for a while.  😁

  • Not quite sunset, but about my bedtime, the sun peeked out.

Finished listening to: I See You've Called in Dead, by John Kenney.  ---- I really enjoyed this book about an obituary writer who loses his way and finds it again.

Continued to read: A Trail Through Time, by Jodi Taylor.

Thank you for being here and being part of my daily happy things. Stay safe!
