Puttering Day
Sunday, February 15th
Intention for the day (I'm going to try again):
To do my best to joyfully move through the day. If things become stressful I intend to retreat somewhere and find something to do to relieve the stress that is not always my cell phone.
Here are some happy things from today:
- The sunrise was pretty with some shades of peach in the clouds.
- One of my goals was to organize my desk some. In the process of doing that I came across some window crayons I have had for a while. I decided to draw on the bedroom window. It didn’t come out very well. I was at a weird angle reaching over the desk to draw. It was fun though.

- I found some slides in my desk drawer. After some trial, error and an internet search I figured out how to take a picture of them. The slides are of my Aunt and Uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary back in the 1980’s. I made and decorated the cake. I'm posting the pictures of all the slides because there were only four.
- The other day I forgot to post all the things I was gifted for Valentine’s Day. It is nice to be thought of, but I really need to downsize. Thankfully, most of the gifts were snack related.
- In the afternoon I got distracted by the packages I had delivered. I ordered an extender for the shower and a few other things. One of these things was a set of Baoding balls. I got them after seeing an ad about them supposedly helping with memory. I’m not sure I believe that, but they looked like they would help message my hands. They came with other hand message tools. They really seemed to help so I am happy with the purchase. I got two types, but only one arrived today.
- Today I learned that one of the walking trails nearby is less than a half mile away. I did a loop on the trail that was just a hair under two miles. It was a beautiful day to be outside and moving. I really needed that.
- Sunset.
- Kayden might have a problem. 😉
End of day intention wrap up: Today was a good day. I feel like I remained mostly joyful, or at least not down or stressed. When things started to be stressful I either talked it out with someone or let myself be distracted by other things. I delayed working on my taxes by helping others do things and eating. I eventually did sit down and gather some of the information I needed to do the taxes. I’ll work on them more another time.
