Snowfall

January 17th

Intention for the day: Since I forgot about intentions today, maybe I should set an alarm to remind me?  My end of the day intention is to remember tomorrow morning to set an intention.

Some happy things from today:

  • This morning I moved around the boxes in my room so I could hang a curtain and measure some things.   From what I can tell, a chair that has been in the living room of the old house will fit in the corner of my room.  The desk Gideon was using and a bookshelf should also fit.  I hung the curtain and threw away the blinds that broke when I cleaned the window a few weeks ago.  The curtain is a little long so I folded it over some. It was a curtain that Keziah got as a donation last year.  It never made it into the last bedroom, but it seems to go well in this one.

  • It was a snowy day.  I had plans to meet up with some friends this afternoon and decided to keep those plans.  It was a beautiful snow fall turning the landscape to a storybook winter wonderland.  The roads were a slippery mess where I was going but I borrowed Keziah’s truck with four wheel drive, drove carefully, and things went fine.   Here are some random snowy pictures from throughout the day:

  • With my friends we planned a backpacking trip for April.  It will be about two and a half weeks, mostly in North Carolina.  We will backpack the Foothills Trail and a little bit of the Appalachian Trail.  Yay!

End of day intention wrap up:  Try harder?  I'm not ready to give up yet.
