Intention for the day:  One of the things that happens when trying to start a new routine is that it gets forgotten.  I forgot to think of an intention this morning.  When I thought about it later, everything just seemed wrong. Last night I set some goals for today though, and I was able to get most of those done.

Light snowfall this morning.

Here are some happy things from today:

  • This morning I got to take one of the dogs out for a short walk to do his business.  There are eleven people and eight pets living in this new house.  Two of the pets are dogs.  One of the dogs is training to be a service dog.  The other is not.  I walked the non service dog.  He is a good dog.
  • Taking my time, I went through and unpacked some of the boxes.  My room in the new house has more floor space, but less closet and shelf space.  I'm still trying to figure out the best layout.  I'm looking forward to having a desk again though.   Despite trying to be very diligent about keeping my door closed and not letting the cats in, they got in and made themselves at home.
  • Our cats, Nanni and Winston stay in one part of the house and two of the other cats, Kayden and Mochi (not sure of spelling) in most of the house.  Boo stays in Gideon's room.  Nanni, Winston, Kayden, and Mochi had a few minutes together today in hopes of integration.  I hear it went alright, until Nanni swiped at Kayden.  I hope they all get along soon.  If you are doing the math, the eighth pet is a bird.  🦜

  • Bel and I went back to the old house so they could take care of the chickens and I could grab a few things.  Bel helped me get my smart lightbulbs.  This new room has track lighting with three spots for lightbulbs.  I have four bulbs and so I'm probably going to grab a table lamp I have at the old house next time I go for the fourth bulb.  I love that I can change the colors.  I miss my flowery walls from the old house.

End of day intention wrap up:  Remember to set an intention!

Finished listening to: The Killing at Crowswood Castle, by Fran Smith.

Started listening to:  Ghost Flower, by William F Merck II.

Thank you for being here and being part of my daily happy things. Stay safe!
