My Moving Day

 January 3rd

Intention for the day: to enjoy the moving process today.

Here are some happy things from today:

  • This morning I woke early, only stayed under the covers a little while, and then got busy with my day.  It felt good to be motivated to get some of this stuff done.  Packing had to happen before my friends showed up to help.
  • Friends arrived a few hours later.  I had achieved less packing than I wanted to but more than I really thought I would.  This seemed like a good position to be in.  We got most of the things loaded between the two pickup trucks.

  • We made good time and we got to the new house before I thought we would.  Things got unloaded and my bed put back together.  We didn't have the headboard or a few other things and went back for them after going out for a nice lunch.
  • The boys left when all that was done and Stephanie and I visited for a while.  We are planning a backpacking trip in April and talked over some possibilities.  Then we went out to dinner.

End of day intention wrap up:  All in all it was a good day.  No one got hurt (it was icy and things were slippery) and stuff got moved.  I feel like I did a good job of not getting stressed over moving and achieved my morning intention of enjoying the moving process.

I have a bed and lots of boxes!

Thank you for being here and being part of my daily happy things. Stay safe!
