Busy Day

 January 9th

Intention for the day: to be joyfully productive.

Here are some happy things from today:

  • Before 9:30 AM I had already brought Gideon to school, went to the old house, saw a red fox on the way, started some laundry for sewing, and found some things to bring back to the new house.
  • The trees were beautiful this morning with a layer of ice coating them.

  • At just about 10 AM I was back at the new house and planning time to do things with Bel.  We started by going back to the old house and they took care of the chickens, I cycled laundry and did some shoveling.
  • After those chores were done we did some driving around talking and played a game called Ingress.
  • At home Bel and I started tackling the kitchen again.  The former owners left a bunch of stuff behind and soon we will know what we do and don't want.  I look forward to that.  Let me be more specific, I look forward to getting rid of a bunch of things we shouldn't need.
  • Eventually I went to craft night.  A friend and I filed a pile of pewter tokens in preparation for the Market Day at Birka event at the end of the month.  I can't share a picture of the entire token before the event.  I will share this one picture I took to show how easy I think it will be to string them.  🙂

End of day intention wrap up:  There was much productivity.  There was also joy.  There were also times that I had to take some deep breaths to reset myself.  After that, I could suggest to anyone helping that we try to focus on solutions, not what was wrong.

Thank you for being here and being part of my daily happy things. Stay safe!
